STARTER

#1 Chicken Fajita Nachos @ RM30.90 (Party Portion- 12 pieces)

First to arrive onto our table was the Mexican starter. Definitely a favourite, the crisp tortilla chips piled high with marinated, charbroiled chicken breast, then topped with melted Monterey Jack cheese and sliced jalapenos. The crispy base, when topped with soft meat and creamy dips, makes it a perfect combination of texture, taste and flavours!

Taking the center stage of the dish was the trio combination of dips--- The white Sourcream,
bright green Guacamole (Avocado-based dip) and red Pico de gallo (Fresh tomato salsa).

#2 BBQ Chicken Salad @ RM28.90

How about having some salad tonight? Sitting elegantly on a bed of mixed greens with tomatoes, green onions, cilantro and Monterey Jack cheese, the smoky barbecue-glazed chicken retained the rich taste of its succulent white flesh, and was an excellent pick-me-up if you were looking for something healthy to nibble on.

Served with house specialty tangy Barbecue Vinaigrette, the salad was definitely tempting your palate.

MAIN COURSES

For mains, we only picked our old favourites for poultry and fish, because we don't take beef and lamb.

#3 Sizzling Chicken and Shrimp @ RM34.90

Fresh from the sizzling plate, we had the sauteed garlic-marinated chicken breast and plump shrimp tossed with zesty roma tomato-basil salsa, onions and peppers. The meaty portion revealed tender juicy goodness, but it was the melting layer of Colby and Jack cheeses that had me on cloud nine!

The sideline at TGIF was noteworthy too. The house Cheddar cheese gave the mashed potatoes an interesting flavour and distinctive character on its own. Must order!

#4 Championship BBQ Chicken @ RM32.90

Beyond the beautiful presentation of perfectly grilled half chicken, its special Championship BBQ sauce was amazingly aromatic and robust in smokiness that further enhanced the flavour of well-marinated meat. The crispy onion rings and Cheddar cheese mashed potatoes were lovely accompaniments to the fragrant tender meat.

This main course was a complete and well-thought through dish because it embodied all the flavours and aromas of classic America without overwhelming the senses. Highly recommended!

#5 Sizzling Chicken Fajitas @ RM36.90

If you feel like going Mexican tonight, why not try the tantalizing chicken fajitas? Spread with dips and eaten together with fresh vegetables and grilled meat, tucking into the rustic hot flour tortillas was a hearty experience itself.

Besides chicken, it comes in other variations such as beef, vegetarian and combo,
served on a skillet of roasted onions, red and green peppers.

#6 Snapper Vera Cruz @ RM33.90

Moving on to something closer to oriental flavours, we had the grilled snapper fish fillets simmered with tomatoes, sweet and spicy peppers, capers and olives. While the citrus zingy sauce was added, the fragrance did not mask the essence of the fish. Served with herb rice, it was simple yet comforting.

#7 Key West Whitefish @ RM32.90

Drizzled with a mildly sweet, sparkling citrus sauce, the roasted mild whitefish maintained its juicy, healthy flavour. Served on a bed of herb rice with seasonal vegetables, it was simply filling.

DESSERT

In conjunction to Mother's Day, TGIF was treating every mother a complimentary mocha mud pie upon spending above RM80. Putting an endnote to our scrumptious dinner, it was a pleasant surprise to find that the waiter added a large scoop of vanilla ice cream onto our mocha mud pie.

#8 Mocha Mud Pie (Complimentary)

Each spoonful of the chef's signature mud pie sent an aromatic coffee and chocolate sensation through the senses. Topped with hot fudge sauce and almond, it was one of the rich, decadent desserts that you just couldn't say no to. The verdict? A rich and exotic masterpiece.

The total damage of the evening for 6 pax was RM268.35, which was a good deal considering the large portion and high quality ingredients. Last but not least, we took a family portrait as a remembrance for this special Mother's Day before we left for home with happy stomachs.

Verdict:

1. Overall, it was a satisfying dinner with simple, savoury pleasures found in almost every dish. So glad to be back to TGIF after years of not visiting, and still able to find my all-time favourites here.

2. If you're craving for protein (especially poultry and red meat), TGIF is the perfect venue to unravel the juicy meats. Fish, on the other hand, is rather bland but makes a better choice for the health conscious.

When my friend first mentions about Gangnam 88 to me, the first thing that pops out in my mind is the Korean dance and music. I then realise that it is actually the name of a rustic restaurant that sets the stage for authentic Korean meals with its hardwood furniture, wood ceiling panels, grey concrete walls, and booth seats to seat hunger busters.

True to its name, the restaurant is injected with plenty of fashionable influence from Korea. An ode to the popularity of Korean culture overseas, smooth complexioned Korean pop stars plaster the walls in reminder of home coupled with memorabilia propped upon every available shelf space.

Glancing through the menu, I notice that it focuses on a wide variety of popular traditional Korean dishes such as kimchi soup, bibimbap, ramyeon, pancakes and barbecue assortments. The level of spiciness here is comparable to those in Korea, however most of the items here come with a non-spicy variation too.

Ban-Tan (Complimentary Side Dishes)

We are served with 7 small platters of Korean side dishes, mainly consisting of tofu, eggs and assorted fermented vegetables. Love the service here, as the staff refills them everytime he sees any empty plates.

Non Spicy Ramyun @ RM15

Back to the basic comfort food, we have traditional Korean instant noodles in clear chicken stock soup. Unfortunately, the noodles turn soggy very quickly so be sure to consume once it is served :)

Kimchi Jjigae @ RM20

Using the recipe passed down in the family for 30 years, Gangnam 88 prepares the freshly cooked kimchi stew in traditional taste every morning. Besides fermented kimchi, the broth is generously filled with scallion, pork belly, tofu and noodles. Definitely a perfect comfort food during cold days!

Dwaeji-Galbi @ RM49 (Large) / RM33 (Single portion)

Among meat dishes, seasoned bulgogi or galbi are the Koreans' favourites that you must not miss. The fresh, high-quality pork here is marinated in a way that it gives the meat a delicious sweet soy flavour and amazing tenderness! Plus, their house special savoury pork ribs sauce is a traditional recipe, originated from South Korea Jeju Island restaurant since 30 years ago.

We order a large portion for sharing, and I'm amazed that every piece of the BBQ pork is juicy and full of flavours. Best wrapped with the vegetables and sauce into a roll for the best enjoyment. Oh did I forget to mention that the vegetables are refillable?

Rabbokggi @ RM33

Unlike the kimchi stew, the broth in rabbokggi is thick and creamy with robust, sweet-spicy flavour. Here it is served in a hot pot along with Korean ddukbbokki rice cakes on a bed of Korean ramyun noodles.

Besides egg and kimchi, I wish they can add more rice cakes in it.

Yummy, chewy sensation within a steaming hot and spicy broth :)

Complimentary Dessert - Ice Kacang

Here our traditional Korean feast ends with a contemporary dessert--- Soft, mushy red beans and shaved peanuts sitting on a bed of shaved ice. An unique combination that suits the sweet tooth yet not too cloying at all!

Gangnam 88 has two outlets for now, one at Solaris Mont Kiara, another in Sunway Giza.

Hopefully they will expand to more outlets that are nearer to my house :)

Verdict:

1. Gangnam 88 is a perfect venue for casual dinners and family outings.

2. Ambiance wise, it is cool to dine along with pretty Korean stars' posters, and the ventilation is pretty good. Won't feel stuffy at all!

3. Pricewise, it gives fairly good value for money considering the good quality ingredients despite of its small portions.

Opened its doors since June 2013, Mr. & Ms. Café seems to be one of the hottest spots in town for those who are in search for great breakfast, coffee and dessert over a chat. It is a place highly recommended on the papers and blogs, and recently it becomes my favourite hangout venue too.

Although many cafes and coffee joints are growing like mushrooms in town, I'm surprised that Mr. & Ms. Cafe remains busy almost at all hours. Since this cafe is so well-received, be early if you want to avoid the long queue and enjoy the breakfast menu :)

Complemented with dark wooden shelves, the traditional red brick walls create an ideal backdrop for an urban dining space. The cafe is beautifully lit with filament bulbs, creating a cozy ambiance along with dainty decorations such as flower pots and photo frames.

Al fresco dining is available here but I find it rather warm as the cafe is facing the sunlight during the day.

Here you can also pose with the signature lips and moustache (Mr. and Ms.) props, well I bet not many cafes in town have such a cute concept yet. Glancing through the menu, I notice there is a vast selection for breakfast and lunch, but the dessert choices are quite limited.

Boasting an Australian vibe in the cafe, it serves up scrumptious food perfect for your weekend brunch!

#1 The Eggs Benedict @ RM14.90

The eggs benedict is one of the must-order items for eggy lovers! Thumbs up to the beautifully done poached eggs that melt perfectly in the mouth with extra creamy and smooth hollandaise sauce. Love the buttery aroma that goes well with turkey ham, grilled mushroom and asparagus on wholemeal toast!

Can I have more hollandaise sauce, please? ♥

#2 The Eggs Atlantic @ RM16.90

Here's another variation of eggs benedict for the salmon lovers! Just top up RM2 and get a platter of eggs atlantic which consists of two poached eggs on wholemeal toast, beautifully wrapped with thick smoked salmon slices.

Salmon, when paired with thick hollandaise sauce can be a winning taste as their flavours don't overpower each other. Moreover, the smoky salmon is definitely not too fishy and delivers all the salmony taste despite of the heavy smoke flavour.

#3 The Eggs Portobello @ RM20.90

It really feels as if we're feasting on only poached eggs for the entire morning! Well, the eggs portobello caters best for the mushroom lovers as you'd definitely enjoy the slow baked portobello mushrooms on toast.

Served with feta, nuts lentis and grapes, I'm surprised that the juicy portobello mushroom cap is so delicious even on its own. Thick, tender and hearty, I'm sure both vegans and carnivores can't get enough of these meaty portobello mushrooms.

Perfectly poached eggs! Yummy! ♥

#4 Salmon Scrambled Eggs @ RM15.90

The scrambled eggs here are equally good and well-concocted with generous amount of smoked salmon, feta, served with wholemeal toast. Plus, it is runny and very moist for my liking. Simply perfect when seasoned with black pepper :)

#5 Spicy Baked Eggs with Sausages @ RM17.90

As if we haven't got enough with eggs, we order another hearty egg dish served piping hot from the kitchen. It's a mouthwatering, filling meal of soft baked eggs and sausages, with minted yoghurt, spices, and olive in a claypot. Moist, flavourful and not too spicy!

Just dip the wholemeal toast into the concoction and enjoy! ♥

#6 Mr. and Ms. Bruschetta Platter @ RM16.90

If you're not a fan of eggs, you can opt for the signature bruschetta platter instead. It is a combo platter of creamy mushroom bruschetta and fresh tomato salsa bruschetta topped with cheesy smoked salmon. Don't belittle this small portion, as both bruschettas can be very filling and robust in flavours!

#7 A Chocolate Love Affair @ RM9.90

True to its name, it's a piece of eye candy! Chocolate lovers would die for this decadent piece of extremely rich Belgian dark chocolate and crunchy hazelnut cake topped with salted caramel popcorn. Apart from the chocolate cookie base, the entire piece of cake is very solid, creamy yet not too sweet.

Ooooo....that gooey, dreamy chocolate cake! ♥

The popcorns look great to add colors onto the dessert, but taste wise they don't complement well. And this is only good for people with sweet tooth, or for sharing because the sweetness does slightly overwhelm your palate.

#8 Hot Latte @ RM7

I'm not a fan of coffee, but I note that the glass of hot latter is nicely brewed

and good to go with the chocolate cake.

For those who wanna enjoy some afternoon tea, the tea served here comes in tea bags from T2, a prominent Australian brand. Gorgeous Geisha is a perfect light, fruity and fragrant blend of green tea with strawberries and cream, while China Jasmine gives a subtle flavour of green tea and jasmine blossoms with a full-bodied scent. Light and simply satisfying :)

Verdict:

1. Mr & Ms Cafe is a perfect venue for casual breakfast and coffee on a afternoon.

2. Ambiance wise, I love the Australian vibe. Revisit? YES!

Hi! How is life in 2014 treating you so far? It feels like a stressful working life these 2 months, and I am more exhausted than before. I sleep for only 4-5 hours a day, and now my shoulder and backbone start to ache. It makes me feel soooo old all in a sudden!

I know that joint and bone diseases can hit one as early as at the age of 35. Although I'm still far from there, I always remind myself to take good care of my joint and bone health because of some hereditary symptoms that run in the family.

LOKL, pronounced as "Local" is a cafe tucked within the historical heart of Kuala Lumpur. Just a stone throw away from Masjid Jamek, the cafe is located along the quiet street of Jalan Tun H.S.Lee which is a total stranger's place to me. Thanks to Waze, I found my way there easily.

If you're coming from the main entrance, you wouldn't be able to see LOKL from the main road. Turn into the street and you'll find LOKL located right next to Back Home hostel, a boutique backpackers' hotel in KL and they share the same courtyard where diners get to enjoy bright airy ambiance at the back of the cafe.

Also, it seems that you'd have no choice but to park your car at the open private parking space at the end of the road. The parking rate is quite hefty there-- RM5 for the first hour, and RM5 for each subsequent hour.

A perfect coffee place for the weekend ♥

LOKL aims to serve good food-- Simple yet delicious and nothing too fancy. But I find this place perfect to spend some tranquil time there enjoying coffee while reading books, or to hang out with a bunch of mates over desserts and comfort food.

Once you're inside, you will find that much of the wooden furniture, vintage lighting, pictures and decorations are exclusively designed for LOKL which blend well and lend a charm to its old-school local theme.

The cafe also has some lovely portraits that truly reflects the Malaysian vibes around its walls

which add a bit of colour to the simplistic decors of LOKL.

Looking at the cafe's name in 4 languages and a roaster logo, it reminisces those good ol' days in 1950s. I have always wanted to try their breakfast menu, but never once we can make it in the morning. So we head there for a late lunch instead. The lunch menu is available until late evenings when the shop closes.

For lunch menu, LOKL serves typical western cuisine ranging from soup and salad to sandwiches. Glancing through the beverages menu, it is pleasant to see a list of local coffee just like those we have in mamak stall or old coffee shop.

The cafe has a pleasant ambiance, with white furnishings an rustic exposed brick walls. But the seating here is rather limited. If you come alone or with one friend, the waiters don't allow you sit indoors at the table for four. Al fresco dining is available at the courtyard if you prefer more spacious, warmer and brighter environment.

Pastries and desserts are not listed on the printed menu, but you can find them at the chiller and on the blackboard. Set lunch menu is available here on a daily rotation. I also noticed that the service was prompt but not very friendly or warm, probably because they were too busy so I'd close an eye.

Hainanese Meatloaf @ RM16.90

Our gastronomic adventure began with a crispy portion of sandwich bread battered and deep-fried till golden brown perfection. It somehow reminded me of some Taiwanese snack instead. And I found it surprisingly bland despite of it being stuffed with a mixture of chicken, chestnuts and prawns. Luckily, the sweet garlic soy sauce is served separately as dips, so diners can customise it to their liking.

Just in case you're wondering how big is the meatloaf sandwich...

Rosemary Chicken Thigh Panini @ RM18.90

Bite into the grilled chicken and you'd discover the meat's aromatics assert their piquant accents in your mouth within seconds. As I savour the meat, my tongue detects a slight sweetness and I'm thrilled that it is imbued with a robust flavour of rosemary, thyme and basil.

Interestingly, the toasted sandwiches were layered with roasted carrots and onions, which enhanced the natural sweetness of the dish. What a nice pleasant change from the usual tomato and cucumber fillings!

DESSERT

Dessert lovers would be spoilt with a wide array of choices including creme brulee, walnut cake, brownie, quiche and the ever popular mille crepe! Well, regardless of the varieties, I still went for my all-time favourite Almond Tiramisu cake.

Almond Tiramisu @ RM12.00

I loved how well the caramelized sweetness of almond flakes enhanced the moist tiramisu's inherent taste. The verdict? A light, airy and lip-smacking masterpiece. Something worth to go for if you have low tolerance towards sweetness. And I'd keep the most sought-after mille crepe on the list during my next visit.

Latte @ RM10.90

If you are a coffee lover, the latte will have you hooked the minute you get a whiff of its strong espresso aroma.

Passion Fruit & Mojito @ RM9.50

For fruit juices, they serve freshly-brewed tea infused with flavoured syrups, then ice-shaken. Despite of its high sugar content, I adore the refreshing drink which is boldly infused with a zingy passion fruit scent.

By the way, here you only have to pay 10% service charge, with no government tax applied.

Verdict:
1. Love the old school charm here that makes me feel nostalgic in the historical heart of KL.
2. With prices of the dishes ranging from RM8.90 to RM22.90, LOKL has dishes to suit myriad price brackets. But taste and portion wise, I think there are plenty of rooms for improvement ;)

3. Revisit? Perhaps only for breakfast. Because I find it rather overrated and I'll prefer more pocket-friendly coffee places.

Under daylight condition, the eyes kinda glow :) And I love the cheerful look it creates, despite of the minimal makeup I put on that day. On top of that, I find it comfortable to wear for up to 10 hours, but here's a gentle reminder for you, don't wear longer than that, for the best health of the eyes.

Another crowd's favourite item on the sundaes menu. Plump, juicy bananas nestle amongst the 3 scoops of Chocolate Ecstasy, Boysenberry Dream and Vanilla Classic ice creams. However, this is only good for people with a sweet tooth, or for sharing because the sweetness of the combination does slightly overwhelmed my palate.

Apart from the usual ice creams and desserts, NZN now serves a great selection of freshly baked pastries, for instance doughnuts, puffs, muffins and cookies. You will be surprised that the Triple Chocolate Muffin and Wild Blueberry Muffin go very well with the ice creams too.

#4 Croissant @ RM2.00

The best thing here is, the price of the pastries ranges from RM2.00 to RM6.00, definitely worth giving it a go. Even the plainest croissant here tastes great, with a good amount of crispiness and buttery aroma that makes the pastry intensely flavourful, flaky and light.

#5 Toasted Almond Bar @ RM3.50

This is my personal favourite among all the pastries ♥ Topped with toasted almond flakes, the pastry is crispy on the outside and extremely soft inside. The filling is slightly sweet and it pairs well with the buttery and flaky exterior.

#6 Baked Sardine Puff @ RM3.90

#7 Chicken Rendang Puff @ RM4.00

Both puffs are generously filled with minced sardine and chicken. Although I didn't savour any of them, my dining partner is pretty satisfied with the taste and quality of the puffs here. I am surprised that an ice cream manufacturer serves such good pastries too!

Stored in an air-tight jar, I found that the cookies here are fresh and delicious especially when they are warm, soft and chewy. Simple yet satisfying, it is a family favourite dessert, sweet snack, or after-school treat.

If you are looking for a combination of both savoury and sweet, waffle is the best choice here. Just enjoy the scoop of ice cream that melts in the mouth with a crispy golden Belgian waffle sealed with almond flakes, honey and chocolate sauce! It's perfectly sinful to indulge with your loved ones.

Now let's double the happiness with double scoops of ice cream, sitting on a bed of crisp Belgian waffle drizzled with honey and chocolate sauce. The combination is so good that I can lick the entire all by myself!

On the beverages menu, NZN offers creamy shakes and coffee as well as healthy blends of juices, smoothies and tea. Well, the affogato milkshake is a blend of fresh milk, chocolate powder and 2 scoops of affogato ice cream, best for those who love to try a milder version of chilled coffee.

On the other hand, I'm attracted to the best-seling Cookies & Cream Thickshake (RM16.90), a thick blend of milk and 4 scoops of ice cream. You can choose your own flavour of ice creams to be blended into the milk too!

Coffee fans would be happy to see the latest addition in the menu (Coming soon in June 2014)- Double Affogato. Basically it is a classic hot espresso topped with a scoop of affogato ice cream and dark chocolate waffle stick. It doubles the aroma and sensation of hot espresso, while adding more kicks to the drinks.

For me, I pick Green Tea Affogato instead. I have tried it somewhere else, and now I'm glad to find the original taste again at New Zealand Natural! When the cold green tea ice cream meets the hot espresso, it melts perfectly with a unique taste of refreshing reen tea and bold coffee.

I accidentally selected the wrong date upon booking, and my request could not be cancelled once the cab driver had confirmed my request. So I quickly called the taxi driver to clarify and he agreed to come over on the actual day I wanted. He was really punctual and notified me once he arrived at the agreed location.

My Personal Verdict:

Tucked along the shops in the busy streets of SS15, Gastro Cafe is a family owned restaurant that serves a tantalising array of Asian and Western dishes since 2010. Honestly the portion for the rice is rather generous, but I wish to enjoy more of the spicy squids too.

#3 Nasi Lemak with Halua Fried Chicken @ RM8.90

If you don't fancy Sambal Sotong, the nasi lemak also comes in other variations such as Rendang Beef, Sambal Prawn and Curry Chicken; everything at the same price. The sweet fried chicken is deliciously glazed with special sauce, exuding a strong aroma of spices that goes well with the rice.

#4 Hainanese Chicken Chop @ RM12.90

Since it's my first visit at Gastro Cafe, I wouldn't miss the chance to try Gastro's signature Hainanese Chicken Chop with crispy potato wedges topped with sliced onions and beans in a bath of thick Asian gravy. Plus, it comes in a soft Hainanese bread where you can dip into the sauce. Definitely a must-try item!

Beautifully coated with breadcrumb, the well-marinated chicken thigh is crispy on the exterior and tender inside. Paired with the starchy, savoury sauce, the meat is very flavourful although the sauce feels a tad heavy for me.

Wedges, anyone?

Verdict:
1. An ideal casual spot for value breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner and even supper!
2. Speaking of the varieties, the menu is far more extensive than Old Town, Hailam Kopitiam or any coffee shop. Surely you wouldn't get bored of the food.
3. Pricewise, it falls on a budget side. Plus, they don't charge any government tax and service charges

Say Yes to weightless, non-greasy texture--- I find that the day cream is quite light, almost watery-like texture similar to many liquid-based sunblock. Just press half a pump onto your finger and start spreading a thin layer over the skin, but remember to avoid the eye contour ya.

Unlike the ordinary moisturizing cream, it is not off-white but slightly creamy lilac in color and it smells great. I'm surprised that it dissolves so rapidly into skin that it becomes invisible in just seconds. Penetrating moisture deep into the skin, I'm glad that it leaves no sticky feel.

Looking forward for my skin transformation into a suppler, more glowing,

translucent and evenly-toned complexion in the upcoming months!

Overall, the day cream works well as a moisturizer, sunblock and whitening agent for the skin. I've been using it for a week now, and my skin appears brighter and less oily / shiny although it is still working its way towards a fairer complexion. Well, try it out for a week and feel the difference yourself!

Dreamz Bakery & Cafe has been a popular venue for coffee and cake since it first opened its doors in 2010. Located within The Strand business hub near Sunway Giza, the cafe is always busy during both weekdays and weekends. Although plenty of similar cafes are growing like mushrooms in town, I still love Dreamz Bakery for some reasons...

The reason I have been yearning to visit this cafe is because of the beautifully decorated interior with lovely and detailed furnishings, as well as their collection of delectable mille crepes that come in various flavours.

Dreamz Bakery is a love story about a pastry chef (the boy) and a designer (the girl), and I guess they want to spread the love by having sweet pastel decors around the place. As you walk up the stairs before entering the cafe at first floor, you'd be welcomed by a dreamy ambiance that totally brings you to fairyland.

At the main area of the cafe, you can sit comfortably on high stools with tall dining tables but it is rather compact and noisy for me. I'd prefer sitting on the mat with low tables inside the cozy private room there.

Since Dreamz Bakery is famous for its delectable cakes and dessserts, the first thing we ordered was the cute green-and-black checkered cake layered with cream. It's definitely a feast for the eyes, and worth a picture!

Matcha Chocolate @ RM9.50

I love the way this soft fluffy green tea and chocolate sponge cake melts in the mouth along with the thick layer of cream. As much as I love desserts, the slice of cake is best for sharing as it feels heavy in the stomach... Plus, do watch out for the sugar overdose too.

It looks so good that I want more pictures with it!!

Tiramisu in Cup @ RM12.90

Another favourite pick of mine is always the tiramisu, best consumed while chilled. This simple, no-bake dessert is also a crowd pleaser as we adored the subtle flavours of coffee and soft layers of cake with cream. Not the best I've tried as the cake appears too soggy and is lacking of coffee aroma.

Tomato Sauce Spaghetti @ RM12

Fret not if you're not a dessert person because Dreamz Bakery boasts an extensive menu of snacks, light bites and main courses. The simple yet comforting platter of spaghetti seems ordinary, but the portion is generous and filled with loads of mushroom and minced chicken.

Turkey Ham Toasted Sandwich @ RM8.90 (4 pieces)

If you wanna save some space for desserts, I'd suggest you to go light on the main course by opting for some sandwiches, toasts or wedges. Comes in 4 pieces in a platter, the toasted sandwich is layered with turkey ham, cucumber, cheese and tomato but they're rather dry on the bread and soggy inside.

If you're planning to bring something home, there are plenty of jars of wild honey, jam and cookies to be chosen from! I wish someone can surprise me with a jar of Hello Kitty almond cookies there :D

Verdict:

1. Cakes and desserts look perfectly good here, but tastewise there is still room for improvement. I'd definitely be back to try out their mille crepe cakes!

2. Overall, it is a great place to date my girlfriends or to chill with a bunch of mates.

3. Reason to revisit: For the relaxing, dreamy ambiance and lovely photo taking opportunities.
